Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Overview

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to purchases made through MC Parfumerie in the UK. It explains your rights and how we handle returns, refunds, and exchanges.


2. Your Statutory Rights

Under UK consumer law:

  • If you purchase goods online, you have a legal right to cancel your order (for any reason, no explanation needed) within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.

  • Once you’ve notified us that you wish to cancel, you must return the goods within a further 14 calendar days.

  • If goods are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose, you may also be entitled to a refund, replacement, or repair under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy. If this policy offers a greater right than your statutory entitlement, the greater right will apply.


3. Cooling-Off Period (Change-of-Mind Returns)

Eligibility

You can return products for a refund if:

  • They were ordered online; and

  • You notify us within 14 calendar days of receipt that you wish to cancel your order; and

  • You return the items within a further 14 calendar days of notifying us.

Perfumes must be returned in original, unopened condition. Once opened or used, we may refuse a change-of-mind return unless faulty.

How to Cancel

  • Your order number

  • A statement that you wish to cancel

  • The item(s) you intend to return

We will confirm receipt of your cancellation.


4. Returned Goods

When returning goods:

  • Please include all original packaging and materials.

  • Return items using a traceable delivery service — we recommend this to safeguard your return.

  • You are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or not as described.

You will not be charged a restocking fee.


5. Refunds

If your return meets the conditions above:

  • We will process your refund within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

  • Delivery costs (standard shipping) will also be refunded if you’re returning the item under the cancellation right.

Please note that if you requested collection of an item you are returning, the refund period starts when we receive the goods back, not when you post them.


6. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If you receive goods that are:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged in transit

  • Incorrect

Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Your order number

  • Photos or other evidence of the issue

We will assess the issue and, if confirmed, offer a full refund (including standard delivery costs) or replacement, at your choice.

Under UK law, you also have longer rights for faulty goods (e.g., up to 30 days for a simple refund or up to 6 months for repair/replacement, with statutory protections).


7. Exceptions

Certain products may not be eligible for returns for hygiene reasons once opened (e.g., sealed cosmetic/perfume products), unless faulty.

Custom orders or personalised items may also be exempt from change-of-mind returns, unless they are faulty or not as described.
